Veterinary Summer Camp for middle and high school students, Sounds amazing. The people at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine decided to offer a veterinary summer camp to youngsters and to show them how it’s like to have a veterinary career.
The camp will be conducted by faculty, staff, and students of the college, and will take the “summer students” on a tour into the classrooms, to the laboratories and the clinical facilities. All this should give them an idea of how their studies would look like and the veterinary medicine in general.
The camp lasts a week and in that week the students will have the chance to see many things first hand. This includes “surgery day”, “bone box day” where they learn skeletal anatomy, they will learn how to do a physical exam on live dogs and cats, and much more.
