When it comes to injuries of the thoracic wall in dogs they are usually caused by violent injuries like car accidents or dog fights. Less common reasons for thoracic wall injuries in dogs include gunshot wounds, impalement or being kicked by a larger animal (such as a horse or a cow) or people.
These injuries are life-threatening and if not addressed can be fatal for the dog.
