This foundation also generously offers reimbursements for certified canine rehab services and free educational materials on amputation for the clinics. These educational materials target the owners in the clinic’s waiting room and the goal is to save the veterinarians the time of explaining everything and answering common questions. These materials also refer the owners to support services and a toll-free hotline for emotional support.

Experiencing the horrible news of necessary amputation, going through the surgery process and trying to teach your pet that it can live a good life without one limb is not easy. Luckily, there are organizations and foundations like these to ease the pain.
