Online avian course

An online VetCPD course is about to start on June 4th. The tutor of the course is Dr. Sarah Pellett, a recognized wildlife and zoo medicine specialist. She explains that this course will be beneficial to everyone that have avian patients coming to their clinic. There is a vast number of conditions and diseases among birds that this course will focus on.

Some of the subjects will cover common injuries like wing clipping, broken feathers, nail and beak burring as well as other common concerns. They will also focus on behavioral and nutritional problems, as well as GI illnesses, respiratory diseases, and skin conditions.

The course will last 3 weeks and will be divided into parts: husbandry and identification; examination and handling; diseases; anesthesia; and surgery.
